Alice Ann Langston Trimble of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017, at the age of 85. She was born on November 11, 1931 in Decatur, Indiana to Charles Langston and Marquerite Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother David A. Langston.
Alice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Philip Trimble; sons Darrell Trimble (Linda) of Penn Valley, CA, Todd Trimble (Bonnie) of Natick, MA; grandchildren Kenton Trimble of Walnut Creek, CA, Laura Trimble of San Francisco, CA, Brett Trimble of Walnut Creek, CA, Jonathan Trimble of New Hampshire, Kristen Marie Trimble of Maryland, and Jennifer Alice Trimble of Vermont.
She taught music for 3 years in the public-school system, and gave private piano lessons for 25 years. Alice and Phil loved to travel. They have been on sixteen cruises, traveled in their motor home with Hot Springs Village Roadrunners and alone, 6 twenty-one-day European bus trips, 2 two week tours in New Zealand and Australia, and have timeshares in Hawaii and Orlando, Fl. They are Arkansas Symphony attendees and supporters, members of Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild, Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity, church choir, and Cedar Mountain Singers. She was a soloist and also sang soprano in the musical groups.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 4-6 p.m. at CedarVale Chapel on Minorca Rd. Services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at CedarVale Chapel with Dr. Walter Smith and Rev. Sheila Jones officiating. On Saturday, May 27, 2017, there will be a memorial service held at Christ of the Hills Methodist Church in the Hot Springs Village with Rev. Sheila Jones officiating.
